Corpseweft converts a graveyard full of creatures into a stream of oversized Zombie tokens for a single black mana activation — the more corpses you have, the bigger the token. The setup cost is real: you need both the enchantment in play and a stocked graveyard before it does anything, which makes it a value engine rather than an immediate threat.

Corpseweft is a Commander card through and through — it needs a critical mass of creatures hitting the graveyard over multiple turns, which maps perfectly to the 100-card, multiplayer, long-game format. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's simply too slow: a three-mana enchantment that produces nothing on entry and requires additional investment to generate tokens won't survive long enough in faster, more interactive environments. Vintage has the raw power level to end games before Corpseweft matters. Commander is the one format where graveyards grow fat naturally, turns are plentiful, and a repeatable token engine at one mana per activation earns its slot.

Price Context
Current price
$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Corpseweft is firmly bulk — it costs less than a sleeve. Given that it sees play almost exclusively in Commander Zombie and graveyard builds where demand is narrow, it's unlikely to climb out of that tier anytime soon, which means there's no reason to hesitate picking up copies.
