Corpse Blockade gives you a 2/3 with deathtouch that forces opponents to run creatures into it — relevant defense at three mana on a body that discourages attacks. The cost is that it contributes nothing offensively and brings no enter-the-battlefield trigger, so unless you're looping it with something like Gravecrawler, it's just a wall with upside.

Corpse Blockade is a Pauper-playable defensive piece in black-based sacrifice shells where it doubles as a deterrent and a sac outlet target, and that's the format most likely to get real use out of it. In Commander, it shows up in aristocrats decks that want cheap fodder with passive board presence, though three mana for a non-recursive body is a crowded slot. Everywhere else — Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage — Corpse Blockade is simply outclassed by cheaper or more impactful creatures, and you won't see it outside of casual or budget builds.

At $0.06, Corpse Blockade sits firmly in bulk territory — pick it out of a common box, not a singles order. Bulk commons don't appreciate, so buy it to play it, not to hold it.
