Conjured Currency steals a permanent every upkeep — no targeting on cast, just a slow-rolling exchange engine that gets scarier the longer it sits. Six mana is a real ask, but the payoff compounds fast in a multiplayer game where you're cycling through three opponents' best threats.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Conjured Currency lives almost exclusively in Commander — the multiplayer table is the only place its cumulative value justifies six mana, since trading up to a better permanent every turn matters far more when you have three opponents' boards to plunder. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's strictly unplayable; those formats move too fast for a six-mana enchantment that doesn't immediately affect the board. Oathbreaker shares enough of Commander's multiplayer DNA that it's technically castable, but the smaller deck size and faster games make it a fringe inclusion at best.

Price Context
Current price
$0.27 bulk tier
At $0.27, Conjured Currency is deep bulk — you'll find it in a common box or as throw-in trade fodder. Niche Commander appeal keeps it from being a true zero, but there's no price pressure pushing it higher.
