Clash of Realities turns every Spirit you control into a removal spell and every non-Spirit your opponents control into a liability — the symmetry is real, but Spirit-tribal commanders flip it decisively in your favor. Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients is the poster child: he generates Spirit tokens that immediately ping opposing creatures, turning a token-production engine into a board-clear engine at no extra mana.

Clash of Realities is a Commander card almost by definition — the enchantment rewards deck-building around a creature type, which is exactly the kind of long-game tribal investment that Commander enables. In Legacy and Vintage, the card is technically legal but has never found a home: those formats end too fast for a five-mana enchantment that does nothing the turn it enters. Modern is the same story — five mana for a static effect with no immediate board impact is not competitive. Commander is where Clash of Realities earns its slot, specifically in Spirit-tribal builds where the asymmetry is baked into the deck's identity from the command zone down.

Current price
$0.41 bulk tier
At $0.41, Clash of Realities sits firmly in bulk territory — you can pick it up without thinking about price. It's unlikely to spike unless a high-profile Spirit commander breaks through, so there's no urgency, but at this price it's pure value for any deck that wants it.
