Brimstone Roundup card art
Brimstone Roundup puts a damage-dealing, token-generating enchantment on the board for three mana — real output at a real rate. It's purpose-built for Laughing Jasper Flint, and outside that shell it rarely earns the slot.

Laughing Jasper Flint runs Brimstone Roundup because the enchantment's damage triggers feed Jasper's wanted-poster mechanic directly, turning every pinged creature into progress toward bounty payoffs — it's not a support piece here, it's part of the engine.

Format Analysis

Brimstone Roundup is a Commander card through and through — the incremental damage and token generation scale well across a long game against multiple opponents, which is exactly where it wants to live. In 1v1 formats like Modern or Pioneer, three mana for a slow-burn enchantment doesn't clear the bar when faster, more direct options exist. Legacy and Vintage have even less patience for it. Standard is technically an option, but the card's ceiling there is a fringe role in a dedicated pinger or enchantment deck rather than a staple.

$0.21 bulk tier

At $0.21, Brimstone Roundup is bulk — easy to acquire as a throw-in or cheap pickup. Bulk rares with narrow homes don't tend to climb unless the commander that drives them spikes in popularity, so don't expect movement.
