Bright-Palm, Soul Awakener
Legendary Creature — Fox Shaman
Backup 1 (When this creature enters, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. If that's another creature, it gains the following ability until end of turn.)
Whenever this creature attacks, double the number of +1/+1 counters on target creature. That creature can't be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less this turn.

Bright-Palm, Soul Awakener enters with a pile of +1/+1 counters equal to your highest-power creature and distributes them freely — that's a board-wide pump that scales with whatever threat you already control. The cost is a four-mana creature with no immediate protection, but the payoff is real, especially alongside Crystalline Crawler or in a Shalai and Hallar deck where every counter counts double.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Shalai and Hallar
Shalai and Hallar converts every +1/+1 counter placement into a damage trigger, so the burst of counters Bright-Palm, Soul Awakener distributes across your board can close out a game the turn it enters.
Miles Morales
Miles Morales rewards you for stacking counters on multiple creatures, and Bright-Palm, Soul Awakener does exactly that in one shot — a single cast can trigger a chain of Miles Morales payoffs.

Aragorn, Hornburg Hero
Aragorn, Hornburg Hero cares about putting counters on humans specifically, and Bright-Palm, Soul Awakener's wide distribution hits every eligible creature you control at once, making it a reliable value piece in that human-tribal shell.

Bright-Palm, Soul Awakener is a Commander card through and through — it needs a wide board and a high-power threat to make the counter distribution meaningful, conditions that 100-card multiplayer provides far more reliably than any 1v1 format. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but wildly outclassed; nobody is casting a four-mana do-nothing-immediately creature in those formats. Oathbreaker offers a narrower window where +1/+1 counter synergies run deep enough to justify it, but even there the power ceiling is lower than in Commander.

$0.61 bulk tier
At $0.61, Bright-Palm, Soul Awakener is bulk by any measure, which makes it an easy include for counter-synergy decks with no budget friction. That price is unlikely to move much without a spike in a high-profile combo deck, so grab it now if you need it and don't expect to sell it later.
