Blinkmoth Infusion card art
Blinkmoth Infusion untaps an artifact for free — the fourteen-mana sticker price is irrelevant because Convoke lets a tapped army pay it down to nothing. Copy it with Lithoform Engine while your board is full and you're untapping two artifacts for zero mana, which is exactly the kind of engine fuel combo decks are looking for.

Format Analysis

Where it lives, where it can’t

Commander is where Blinkmoth Infusion actually lives — go-wide artifact decks can zero it out reliably, and the payoff of untapping a key piece at instant speed is worth the deck slot. In Legacy and Vintage the Convoke math is harder to assemble at the same table as faster, more flexible interaction, so it sees essentially no play there. Modern has cheaper, more consistent untap effects that don't ask you to build around them. Wherever Convoke creatures are the core strategy, Blinkmoth Infusion is a real card; everywhere else it's a bulk curiosity.

Price Context

Current price

$1.88 cheap tier

At $1.88, Blinkmoth Infusion sits comfortably in the cheap tier — easy to pick up for any artifact Convoke build without a second thought. Demand is narrow enough that the price is unlikely to spike, but it's not going to fall further either; niche combo pieces at this price tend to stay flat.
