In Commander, Binding Geist // Spectral Binding earns a slot almost exclusively in Spirit-tribal builds where the creature type matters more than the raw effect — Millicent, Restless Revenant or Kykar, Wind's Fury lists that want bodies and incidental disruption. In Pauper, the common slot is contested enough that a 2/1 flier with a conditional tap rarely makes the cut over more consistent options. Modern and Pioneer have no real home for it — the effect is too slow and the body too small to matter at those power levels. Legacy and Vintage are non-starters.
