Avenging Druid
Creature — Human Druid
Whenever this creature deals damage to an opponent, you may reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land card. If you do, put that card onto the battlefield and put all other cards revealed this way into your graveyard.

Avenging Druid puts a land directly onto the battlefield every time it deals combat damage to a player — no maximum, no tapped restriction — which makes it a legitimate engine in any deck that wants to landfall repeatedly. The catch is that a 1/1 for three mana dies to a stiff breeze, so it needs evasion, a tap outlet, or a combo like Retreat to Coralhelm to do real work.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Avenging Druid is a Commander card through and through — the repeated landfall triggers it enables are worth almost nothing in a 20-life format where combat damage is rare and the game ends before you can loop it. In Pauper it's technically legal but sees no meaningful play; the format moves too fast for a 1/1 that costs three mana and requires combat damage to function. Legacy and Vintage are similarly hostile — the card simply doesn't survive long enough to generate value at those power levels. Commander is where Avenging Druid earns its slot, specifically in landfall-combo shells where a single unblocked swing can generate enough triggers to close the game.

Current price
$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Avenging Druid is deep bulk — it costs less than a sleeve. That price is stable by definition; there's no meaningful demand pressure that would move a common combo enabler with a narrow home.
