Wolfhunter's Quiver card art
Wolfhunter's Quiver straps a repeatable -1/-1 activation onto any creature you can untap, and that's exactly what makes it dangerous — equip it to the right untap engine and it becomes a board-clear engine on a stick. It's a strict downgrade from Thornbite Staff in almost every shell, but at bulk rare pricing it's a real second copy of that effect.

Format Analysis

Where it lives, where it can’t

FormatVerdict

oathbreaker

Commander is the only format where Wolfhunter's Quiver is worth a slot, and only in dedicated tap-outlet or persist-combo builds. Legacy, Modern, and Vintage are all legal on paper, but a five-mana equip on an artifact that only pings small creatures has no competitive footing in any of those formats. In Commander, Wolfhunter's Quiver earns its place as a redundancy piece — the kind of card that lets a Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons or Olivia Voldaren deck run eight copies of the same line instead of four.

Price Context

Current price

$0.14 bulk tier

At $0.14, Wolfhunter's Quiver is deep bulk — you're picking it out of a dollar box, not tracking it on a buylist. It's unlikely to appreciate; the effect is niche enough that demand stays flat, and it will stay cheap as long as Thornbite Staff exists and is accessible.
