Assassin Gauntlet is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but competitive play in the non-rotating formats is a non-starter — three mana to equip for a tap-to-destroy effect is far below rate for Legacy or Vintage, where removal comes free or attached to bodies that do more work.
