Armorcraft Judge card art
Armorcraft Judge enters and immediately cashes in every +1/+1 counter on your board as a card — in a dedicated counters deck, that's routinely four to seven draws for four mana. Hamza, Guardian of Arashin decks run it because the cost reduction and creature density make that payoff trivially repeatable.

Hamza, Guardian of Arashin

62.0% of decks · synergy 0.57

Hamza, Guardian of Arashin runs Armorcraft Judge as a core draw engine — Hamza's cost reduction means the Judge often lands ahead of curve, and a board packed with +1/+1 counter creatures turns the enters trigger into a five-plus card refuel.

Armorcraft Judge is a Commander card, full stop. In 60-card formats like Modern and Pioneer it's too slow and too conditional — four mana for a 3/3 that draws cards only if your board is already developed doesn't compete with the curve those formats demand. In Commander, the math inverts: a counters-matter deck reliably draws four or more cards off a single trigger, which is an effect worth building around at any point in the game. Oathbreaker can support it in the right shell, but the smaller starting hand size makes the setup harder to guarantee.

$0.08 bulk tier

At $0.08, Armorcraft Judge is pure bulk — you're paying for the effect, not the cardboard. Bulk rares with narrow homes tend to stay cheap indefinitely, so there's no reason to hesitate picking up copies for any counters build.
