Armament of Nyx card art
Armament of Nyx enchants a creature and either neutralizes a non-enchantment attacker or blocker by making it unable to attack or block, or turns an enchantment creature into a double-striker — two completely different effects on the same card. The catch is that the good mode requires your target to already be an enchantment creature, which limits the ceiling sharply outside dedicated enchantress builds.

In Commander, Armament of Nyx finds its home almost exclusively in Voltron enchantress decks where the commander is itself an enchantment creature — slap it on Siona, Ship's Navigator or a bestow creature and the double strike mode pays rent. Outside that narrow lane, two mana for a conditional tap-lock effect is too weak to compete with actual removal. In Pauper it sees essentially no play; the format has better aura options and the double strike mode rarely triggers at common. Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer have no meaningful use case for Armament of Nyx — the card doesn't interact at a competitive rate in any of those formats.

$0.05 bulk tier

At $0.05, Armament of Nyx is deep bulk — you're not buying it so much as finding it in a trade binder or a precon. There's no demand pressure to push this above its floor, so don't expect movement.
