In Commander, Archetype of Courage does real work in any white-heavy aggressive or go-wide build — the global first-strike grant is a consistent combat advantage across a 100-card singleton format where opponents will always have creatures you want to outclass. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's legal but rarely sees play; a three-mana 2/2 that doesn't win the board on the spot can't compete in formats where the bar for creature efficiency is much higher. Vintage is the same story — legal, irrelevant. Archetype of Courage is squarely a Commander card, and it earns its spot there.
