Aquastrand Spider sees essentially zero play in Legacy, Vintage, or Modern — graft is too slow and the body too fragile to compete in formats where turns one through three are often decisive. Pauper is its most plausible non-Commander home, where the floor of a 0/3 reach blocker is at least relevant against aggressive fliers, though it still rarely makes cuts. In Commander, Aquastrand Spider earns its seat only in dedicated +1/+1 counter decks where the graft trigger fires repeatedly off token generation or blink loops — outside that context, there are strictly better counter-seeders at the same price point.
