Anthem of Rakdos
Enchantment
Whenever a creature you control attacks, it gets +2/+0 until end of turn and this enchantment deals 1 damage to you.
Hellbent — As long as you have no cards in hand, if a source you control would deal damage to a permanent or player, it deals double that damage to that permanent or player instead.

Anthem of Rakdos doubles every damage source you control for the low cost of discarding a card whenever you cast a spell — a punishing enchantment that snowballs fast in aggressive Rakdos builds. The discard clause is real overhead, so it belongs in decks that want empty hands or treat discard as a resource, not a penalty.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is the natural home for Anthem of Rakdos — six mana is steep, but the enchantment warps a game the moment it resolves, and multiplayer tables give you enough opponents to double damage against before anyone can answer it. In Legacy and Vintage it's unplayable on rate; nothing running those formats wants a six-mana symmetry-breaker with a discard tax attached. Oathbreaker is the one non-Commander 60-card format where Anthem of Rakdos could theoretically appear, but the format's lower average game length makes the setup cost hard to justify.

Price Context
Current price
$0.81 bulk tier
At $0.81, Anthem of Rakdos sits firmly in bulk territory — cheap enough to throw into any Rakdos build without hesitation. It's a low-demand niche card, so don't expect the price to move unless a high-profile Commander deck puts it in the spotlight.
