Ambitious Assault gives your attacking creatures +2/+0 until end of turn and makes them all attack — a one-mana pump spell that doubles as a forced all-in swing. In token-wide commanders like Valduk, Keeper of the Flame, where you're already sending a dozen Elementals at once, that +2 across the board is frequently lethal.

Valduk, Keeper of the Flame
Valduk, Keeper of the Flame generates a fresh wave of Elemental tokens each combat, and Ambitious Assault turns that swarm into a one-shot clock — +2/+0 across ten or fifteen bodies ends the game before blockers matter.

Ambitious Assault is a Commander card first and almost exclusively. The forced-attack clause is irrelevant when you're already all-in on a wide board, and the +2/+0 scales with every token you've made — making it a clean finisher in go-wide red decks. In Pauper it's legal but competes with better pump options at common that don't require a full swing. Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer have enough removal density that telegraphing your attack step for a one-mana cantrip-sized buff rarely pays off at those tables.

$0.18 bulk tier
At $0.18, Ambitious Assault is deep bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a card with a real role in specific Commander lists. Bulk red commons like this don't appreciate, but the entry cost is low enough that picking up copies for token decks is a no-brainer.
