Alloy Myr card art
Alloy Myr is a mana rock that taps for any color — useful on its own, but the reason it shows up across thousands of decks is its creature type: in Myr synergy shells, it's a combo enabler first and a fixer second. Pair it with Myr Galvanizer and enough untap-looping pieces under Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch and you're generating infinite mana, not just smoothing it.

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch

Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch

91.7% of decks · synergy 0.89

Alloy Myr appears in over 90% of Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch decks because it's both a Myr for Urtet's untap trigger and a five-color fixer for the demanding pip requirements the deck runs — it does two jobs at once.

02
Alibou, Ancient Witness

Alibou, Ancient Witness

19.4% of decks · synergy 0.19

Alibou, Ancient Witness wants a wide board of tapped artifacts triggering its damage ability, and Alloy Myr feeds that count while covering off-color mana in a shell that often splashes heavily.

Alloy Myr is Commander's card through and through — outside of Myr tribal, a three-mana rock that taps for one of any color is simply outclassed in every competitive format. In Legacy and Vintage it has no path to a maindeck; Mox and two-mana rocks do the job faster with no creature vulnerability. Pauper is the one exception where it sees occasional fringe play in artifact synergy brews, since commons have fewer efficient fixers. In Commander, its creature type elevates it from mediocre ramp to a legitimate engine piece in the right shell.

Price Context

Current price

$0.48 bulk tier

At $0.48, Alloy Myr is deep bulk — easy to pick up in any binder or common box. Given that over 16,000 Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch decks run it, demand is real but supply keeps pace, so the price is stable and unlikely to spike.
