Alexi's Cloak gives a creature shroud and makes it unblockable — two relevant protections stapled together for two mana — but the enchantment itself can be removed before it ever matters, and shroud cuts off your own targeting too. It's a narrow card that gets outclassed by almost any instant-speed protection spell in blue.

In Commander, Alexi's Cloak sees fringe play on commanders that want to attack without interference and don't need to be targeted by their controller — the unblockable clause is the only reason to consider it over Swiftfoot Boots or Lightning Greaves. In Pauper, the card pool is restricted enough that enchantment-based protection has occasional niche uses, though the aura vulnerability still hurts. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in it — the effect isn't efficient enough to compete at those power levels.
