Aggression turns any creature with power 2 or greater into a trample-and-first-strike threat for just two mana — significant upside that can close games out of nowhere. It's an enchantment that sits on the battlefield and applies every combat, but a single removal spell aimed at the host creature takes the Aura down with it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Aggression is a role-player in dedicated Aura and Voltron decks, not a staple — the two-for-one risk is real in a format with four opponents' worth of removal, so it earns its slot only when the host creature has built-in hexproof or shroud. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but never sees play; those formats move too fast and efficiently for a two-mana enchantment that does nothing the turn it enters without a creature already in play. Oathbreaker shares Commander's multiplayer dynamics, and the smaller deck size means you find your hexproof targets more consistently, which makes Aggression marginally more reliable there.

Current price
$0.19 bulk tier
At $0.19, Aggression is firmly bulk — you're paying for cardboard and shipping, not the card itself. Bulk Auras with narrow applications rarely climb in price, so this is an easy pickup if you need it but nothing to acquire speculatively.
