Adaptive Sporesinger card art
Adaptive Sporesinger enters and immediately adds a +1/+1 counter to every creature you control with an adapt, evolve, or proliferate payoff — the on-board swing is real, not hypothetical. Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres turns that enter trigger into a draw engine, and Myojin of Cryptic Dreams gives the whole package a blink target worth repeating.

Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres draws a card whenever a creature you control gets +1/+1 counters placed on it, so Adaptive Sporesinger's enter trigger — distributing counters across the board — converts immediately into cards rather than just stats.

Adaptive Sporesinger is a Commander card through and through — the enter trigger only becomes absurd when there are ten other creatures on the battlefield to receive counters. In competitive 1v1 formats like Modern or Legacy, a three-mana 2/2 that conditionally distributes counters is too slow and too dependent on board state to earn a slot. Pauper is where it could theoretically live, but counter-based synergy packages in that format lack the density to make the trigger matter. Stick to Commander, and specifically to decks built around +1/+1 counters — that's the only context where Adaptive Sporesinger justifies its slot.

$0.18 bulk tier

At $0.18, Adaptive Sporesinger is bulk — you're picking it out of a dollar bin or tossing it into a cart to hit free shipping. Bulk rares with narrow synergy profiles rarely climb unless a new commander pushes the archetype hard, so treat it as a cheap inclusion rather than a card to stockpile.
