Abzan Advantage removes an enchantment and hands you a free Raise the Alarm token — one mana, two things done. The rate is real, but the card is a niche tool: enchantment hate is too conditional to run in a main 99 unless your meta demands it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Abzan Advantage is a role-player in dedicated go-wide token strategies that also need enchantment answers — the 1/1 token actually matters when you're pumping with an anthem. Outside of Commander, the card sees essentially no competitive play: Modern, Pioneer, and Legacy all have cleaner, more flexible enchantment removal at the same or lower cost, and the token upside doesn't compensate for the narrow targeting. Pauper is the one format where budget constraints make the two-for-one feel marginally more interesting, but even there it rarely earns a slot.

Price Context
Current price
$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Abzan Advantage is deep bulk — the kind of card you pull from a box rather than buy. That price is stable for the same reason it's low: demand is low and likely to stay there.
