Absolver Thrull destroys a target enchantment when it enters the battlefield — a reasonable effect stapled to an overcosted 2/3 body that costs four mana in a color with better options. The enters-the-battlefield trigger is the only reason to consider it, and even then, there are cleaner ways to answer enchantments in white.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Absolver Thrull is outclassed before you even sleeve it — Disenchant, Heliod's Intervention, and Crush Contraband all answer enchantments more efficiently without asking you to pay four mana for a vanilla creature. Pauper is the one format where the card pool narrows enough that a repeatable body with an ETB might earn a fringe look, particularly in blink shells that can retrigger the ability. In Legacy and Vintage, Absolver Thrull is strictly a non-starter — the enchantment answers available in those formats cost a fraction of the mana and don't occupy a creature slot. The haunt ability, which lets the trigger fire a second time when the haunted creature dies, adds marginal value but rarely changes the calculus.

Price Context
Current price
$0.04 bulk tier
At $0.04, Absolver Thrull is deep bulk — the price reflects demand accurately. It holds no financial value and is unlikely to move unless a niche blink reprint cycle generates artificial interest.
