Aboshan's Desire card art
Aboshan's Desire turns any creature into an evasion engine for a single blue mana, with the threshold upside of granting shroud on top of flying. The catch is that threshold — seven cards in your graveyard — rarely lands early enough to matter, so most decks run it purely for cheap evasion, and Haldan, Avid Arcanist // Pako, Arcane Retriever is the clearest home since Pako stockpiles exiled instants and sorceries that Haldan can cast, making Pako's unblocked attacks the whole game plan.

Pako needs to connect repeatedly to fuel Haldan's casting, and Aboshan's Desire is a one-mana way to give Pako flying and make those attacks stick — the shroud clause is a bonus if your graveyard fills out, but the evasion alone justifies the slot.

In Commander, Aboshan's Desire occupies a narrow role: one-mana aura that grants flying, usable in any blue deck but only actively sought in builds where a single creature must get through repeatedly — think combat-trigger commanders or voltron shells. Pauper is the other format where it sees occasional play, since cheap evasion on creatures that would otherwise be ground-bound can close games faster than its humble price tag suggests. Legacy and Vintage are both legal, but Aboshan's Desire has no realistic home in either — formats that fast don't spend a card on a creature enchantment for flying. Commander is its ceiling.

At $0.24, Aboshan's Desire is deep bulk — you'll find it in commons boxes before you'd bother ordering it. Bulk commons don't appreciate, so buy it for the effect, not the spec.
