Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
Any zero-cost artifact that is also an artifact creature — Ornithopter, Memnite, or Phyrexian Walker — upgrades the loop to include infinite ETB and LTB triggers, which opens Altar of Dementia or Impact Tremors as in-loop kills. Without the creature clause, the combo wins through mass permanent denial and storm count, so a Grapeshot or Brain Freeze sitting in hand before the loop starts is the cleaner closer.
