Muldrotha, the Gravetide + Displacer Kitten + Sol Ring + Claws of Gix

4-card combo · BGU

Verdict

Yes — this 4-card loop generates infinite ETB and LTB triggers plus infinite storm count out of a Muldrotha, the Gravetide shell that was already running these pieces.

Muldrotha, the Gravetide lets Sol Ring recast itself from the graveyard each loop; Claws of Gix provides the sacrifice outlet for one mana, and Displacer Kitten blinks Muldrotha on each artifact cast to reset the once-per-turn restriction. Every iteration costs two colorless and returns two colorless from Sol Ring, netting zero mana but cycling the trigger chain indefinitely.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You have not cast an artifact spell using Muldrotha this turn.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Sol Ring by tapping it, adding {C}{C}.
  2. Activate Claws of Gix by paying {1} and sacrificing Sol Ring, causing you to gain 1 life.
  3. Cast Sol Ring from your graveyard by paying {1}.
  4. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Muldrotha.
  5. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite ETB; Infinite lifegain; Infinite lifegain triggers; Infinite LTB; Infinite storm count

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Any zero- or one-mana artifact can replace Sol Ring as the loop piece — Mana Crypt closes the gap faster since it adds two without tapping for a cost, but Sol Ring is the most common include. The loop produces infinite storm count and lifegain but no inherent kill condition; pair it with Thassa's Oracle, Laboratory Maniac after milling the library with Altar of Dementia, or any enter-the-battlefield damage trigger to close the game.
