Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle recurs Aether Channeler each time a historic spell resolves; Aether Channeler's ETB bounces Sol Ring back to hand, which then recasts to trigger Teshar again. Altar of Dementia is the kill — each loop sacrifices Aether Channeler to mill equal to its power, and with infinite iterations, every library empties. This fits naturally into white-blue artifact-heavy builds that already want Teshar as a value engine.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

Artifact that can be Cast Using {C}

02

Steps

  1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Aether Channeler, causing target player to mill cards equal to Aether Channeler's power.
  2. Activate Sol Ring by tapping it, adding {C}{C}.
  3. Cast the other artifact with MV<=1 by paying at most {1}.
  4. Teshar triggers, returning Aether Channeler from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  5. When Aether Channeler enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Sol Ring from the battlefield to your hand.
  6. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Aether Channeler, causing target player to mill cards equal to Aether Channeler's power.
  7. Cast Sol Ring by paying {1}.
  8. Teshar triggers, returning Aether Channeler from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  9. When Aether Channeler enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning the other artifact from the battlefield to your hand.
  10. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite death triggers; Infinite ETB; Infinite LTB; Infinite mill; Infinite sacrifice triggers; Infinite self-mill; Infinite storm count

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The fifth slot is deliberately thin — any artifact with mana value 1 or less serves as the second bounce target alongside Sol Ring, so Mana Crypt or Tormod's Crypt are easy redundancies. If milling out the table is the wrong call for the board state, swap Altar of Dementia for Blasting Station or drop Aether Channeler's bounce onto a creature that generates a different infinite resource — the Teshar loop shell stays identical.
