Zombify

Zombify is legal across every major format except Pauper, where reanimation at common would raise obvious power-level concerns. In competitive Constructed — Modern, Pioneer, Legacy — it mostly sits on the sidelines, outpaced by cheaper or more consistent reanimation like Reanimate or Goryo's Vengeance that win the race to the graveyard faster. Commander is where Zombify does its real work: singleton construction means you run it as redundancy alongside other four-mana reanimation, and the 99-card format guarantees big enough targets to make the rate worthwhile. Standard and Pioneer give it occasional bursts of relevance when the card pool lacks better options and the creatures worth reanimating are pushed.
