The cost is five mana and a companion requirement that only matters outside Commander, which makes it a clean include in any deck that wants to reset its own permanents.

Yorion, Sky Nomad carries one restriction worth knowing: as a companion, it requires your deck to have at least 20 cards more than the minimum — 80 in formats with a 60-card floor, 120 in Commander. Commander gives it a complete pass on that restriction because you're already running 100 cards and most pilots use Yorion as a mainboard creature rather than a companion, so the deckbuilding tax never applies. It's legal in Legacy, Pioneer, Vintage, and Oathbreaker for the same reason decks there can opt into the companion restriction or simply run it in the 60. Modern is the exception — Yorion was banned there after proving the 80-card cost was no cost at all for the value it generated.

Aminatou, the Fateshifter's minus ability flickers any permanent you control, and Yorion, Sky Nomad gives the deck a way to reset everything at once when Aminatou's incremental blinks aren't enough. The two cards share the same resource loop — reset ETB triggers, rebuild advantage — and Yorion covers the board-wide version Aminatou can't do alone.
