Wraith, Vicious Vigilante

In Commander, Wraith, Vicious Vigilante slots cleanly into sacrifice-adjacent and go-wide strategies where opponents are incentivized to interact with your board — the more your creatures get picked off, the more Wraith taxes the table. Competitive Commander largely ignores it; the effect is too slow and too dependent on opponent behavior to matter in pods that end on turn four. In 60-card formats like Modern and Pioneer, the card faces an uphill battle competing for slots in any shell that actually wants this effect, and the payoff rarely matches what other three-drops are doing at the same cost. Standard is the most realistic non-Commander home, where the card pool is shallow enough that a persistent punisher with this text can actually generate edges. Legacy and Vintage have no interest.
