Woodvine Elemental hands every tapped creature you control +1/+1 until end of turn — in an attacking go-wide board, that's a free overrun stapled to a 4/4 trampler for six mana. The cost is real, but the effect is immediate and doesn't ask for anything beyond creatures you were already swinging with.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is the natural home for Woodvine Elemental — token strategies and go-wide attackers are everywhere, and the effect rewards exactly the kind of wide, tapped boards that populate multiplayer tables. Legacy and Vintage are technically legal, but six mana for a conditional pump spell competes with formats that close games faster than this can generate value. Oathbreaker shares enough of Commander's creature-swarm sensibility that Woodvine Elemental can pull weight there too, particularly in green-white token lists that regularly flood the board before swinging all-out.

Price Context
Current price
$0.13 bulk tier
At $0.13, Woodvine Elemental is deep bulk — the kind of card you pull from a common box rather than order individually. That price is stable by default; there's no meaningful demand pressure to move it in either direction.
