Woodland Druid is a 1/2 vanilla creature for 1G — no enters-the-battlefield trigger, no activated ability, nothing to justify a slot in most decks. The one exception is Ruxa, Patient Professor, where having no abilities is the point.

Ruxa, Patient Professor
Ruxa, Patient Professor explicitly rewards creatures with no abilities, and Woodland Druid fits that requirement while also being a two-drop body that can attack for 2 under Ruxa's buff — it's one of the few contexts where this card earns its slot on purpose.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Woodland Druid sees almost no play outside Ruxa, Patient Professor lists, where the no-abilities clause is a feature rather than a liability. In Pauper, a 1/2 for two mana without any upside doesn't clear the bar when Elvish Mystic and Llanowar Elves exist at the same cost and actually ramp. Legacy and Vintage have access to the same card and the same verdict — Woodland Druid does nothing those formats need. This is effectively a Commander-only card, and even there it's a one-commander niche.

Price Context
Current price
$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Woodland Druid sits firmly in bulk territory, which is appropriate for a card with this narrow a use case. The price is stable by default — there's no demand outside Ruxa builds, so don't expect movement in either direction.
