Windborne Charge pumps one creature +2/+2 and gives another flying and double strike until end of turn — wide board impact for four mana, but splitting the effect across two creatures is the catch. It's a solid finisher in go-wide white decks and a blank in everything else.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Windborne Charge is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but competitive constructed formats have no interest in a four-mana sorcery-speed pump spell. Commander is the only home where it makes real sense — specifically in white decks that attack with multiple creatures and need a surprise finisher to close out a damage race around the table. The split targeting is a genuine upside in token strategies, where you can pile the double strike onto your biggest threat and the +2/+2 onto a secondary attacker for extra reach.

Price Context
Current price
$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Windborne Charge is deep bulk — the kind of card you pull from a draft chaff box, not one you track down individually. Price stability is a non-issue; there's no meaningful demand driver that would move it off the floor.
