Will of the All-Hunter puts a persistent indestructible counter on any creature you control for two mana — and unlike most protection spells, the effect doesn't wear off at end of turn. At instant speed for, it's a cheap way to blank a targeted removal spell while leaving a permanent upgrade behind.

| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Will of the All-Hunter is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but it's almost exclusively a Commander card — slower formats that care about permanence over burst rarely want a two-mana trick that doesn't advance a board state or generate card advantage. In Commander, the indestructible counter has real staying power: it survives board wipes, stacks with other counters, and scales well on commanders you've invested mana into reanimating or recasting. Outside Commander, the effect is too slow and too narrow to compete with cheaper or more versatile protection in Modern and Legacy.

$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Will of the All-Hunter sits firmly in bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a functional, permanent protection piece. Bulk rares and uncommons at this price point rarely climb unless they find a breakout home, so treat it as a free include rather than a spec.
