Wildfire Cerberus hits the board as a 4/3 haste that threatens an immediate Threaten effect stapled to a punishing death trigger — opponent's creatures attack into bad trades or you untap with the effect active. The cost is real: seven mana is a lot to ask for a body that dies to any two-damage ping, and the value lives entirely in sequencing and politics.

Wildfire Cerberus is a Commander card through and through — the seven-mana cost and multiplayer politics of stealing an attack are miserable in 1v1 formats where Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer demand efficiency that Cerberus cannot provide. In Commander, it earns consideration in red decks that care about forced attacks, combat manipulation, or stealing creatures temporarily: Marisi, Breaker of the Coil rewards goading and chaos, while Kardur, Doomscourge turns every forced attack into drain triggers. Outside of those synergy contexts it's still a passable rate in late-game chaos metas where seven mana is accessible and the Threaten effect plus haste means immediate board impact the turn it resolves.

Price Context
Current price
$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Wildfire Cerberus is deep bulk — the kind of card you pick up in a trade binder or finish out a cart without noticing. Bulk mythics rarely appreciate unless a Commander archetype breaks them out, and nothing in the current meta is pulling Cerberus in that direction.
