Wicked Guardian enters and either draws you a card or kills a creature you control — a four-mana 4/3 that replaces itself or clears a blocker at your discretion. It's a fine role-player in aristocrats and black sacrifice shells, but too slow and too conditional for anything competitive.

In Commander, Wicked Guardian earns its slot in sacrifice-focused decks that want fodder, card draw, and a body on the same card — think Teysa Karlov or Prossh, Skyraider of Kher strategies that are already looping creatures through the graveyard. Outside that niche it's a generic four-mana 4/3, which is simply unplayable in Legacy, Vintage, or Modern where the bar for that slot is brutally high. Pioneer is similarly hostile. Pauper is the one non-rotating format where Wicked Guardian could see fringe play, since black sacrifice decks at common occasionally need redundant draw-on-death effects, though better options exist even there.

$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Wicked Guardian is pure bulk — you're picking it out of a commons box, not tracking it on the market. Bulk black creatures with conditional upside rarely appreciate unless they slot into a competitive combo, and nothing about Wicked Guardian's text box points that direction.
