Wave of Indifference taps any number of target creatures at sorcery speed for a single red mana — one of the most mana-efficient ways to clear a path for a lethal swing or protect your board before blockers matter. At one mana with no ceiling on targets, it earns a slot in any red deck that wins through combat.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Wave of Indifference is where it wants to be in Commander, where multiplayer boards are cluttered and a one-mana tap-all effect can end the game by opening a lane for a commander like Isshin, Two Heavens as One or Krenko, Mob Boss to connect for lethal. In Pauper it's legal but competes with a tighter, more interactive format where sorcery-speed tapping rarely outpaces instant-speed interaction. Legacy and Vintage legality is technically true, but Wave of Indifference has no realistic home in either — the effect doesn't scale to those formats' game speeds. Stick to Commander and Oathbreaker, where the card does exactly what it promises.

Price Context
Current price
$0.13 bulk tier
At $0.13, Wave of Indifference is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and shipping, not the effect. That price is stable because supply is high and demand is narrow, so don't expect movement in either direction.
