Warrior Angel gives you a 4/4 flying lifelink body for six mana — a reasonable rate in a vacuum, but lifelink on a single attacker rarely moves the needle in Commander's multiplayer damage economy. It's a fair Limited card that doesn't have a job at 100-card tables.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Warrior Angel is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but sees essentially no play in any of them. In Commander, six mana for a 4/4 flyer with lifelink is outclassed by Serra's Emissary, Baneslayer Angel, and a long list of angels that do more on entry or at scale. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in a vanilla-adjacent six-drop. Warrior Angel exists as a bulk bin card in formats where it's legal, not a real option in any of them.

Price Context
Current price
$0.61 bulk tier
At $0.61, Warrior Angel sits in bulk rare territory and is unlikely to climb — there's no competitive demand and no casual breakout scenario that changes that. It's a fine pick-up if you're building a budget angel tribal pile and need bodies, but don't expect the price to move.
