Warped Physique kills or shrinks a creature based on the number of cards in your hand — high upside in draw-heavy shells, near-zero cost at two mana in Dimir colors. Outside of decks that reliably hold five or more cards, it's inconsistent enough that most removal slots have better options.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Warped Physique earns its slot only in Dimir or Esper decks built around card draw — think Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow or Nekusar, the Mindrazer, where hand sizes of six or seven are routine and the spell doubles as a finisher. In fair Commander lists with average hand sizes, it's too conditional to compete with unconditional removal like Doom Blade or Go for the Throat. Across competitive formats like Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer, Warped Physique never found a real home — hand size is volatile in those formats, and two-mana removal needs a guaranteed result to justify the slot. It's legal in Oathbreaker, where the same card-draw-density logic from Commander applies.

$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Warped Physique is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and shipping, not the card. Bulk rare pricing is a floor, not a ceiling, but there's no pressure driving this one up: it sees minimal competitive play and occupies a narrow Commander niche.
