Warehouse Thief steals the top card of an opponent's library whenever it deals combat damage to a player — repeatable card advantage stapled to a body, at the cost of four mana for a 3/2 with no built-in evasion. The rate is acceptable only if you can reliably connect; without trample, flying, or a forced-block setup, it dies to a 1/1 token and never triggers.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Warehouse Thief is a Commander card first and almost exclusively. In a four-player game the damage trigger can fire multiple times per combat step, and opponents' libraries can contain premium spells you'd never otherwise cast — the upside scales with table quality. In Pauper it's legal and the effect is real, but a 3/2 for four with no evasion struggles to connect against the format's efficient blockers, so it rarely makes the cut. Legacy and Vintage are legal on paper but irrelevant in practice; the effect is too slow and the body too fragile for those formats.

Price Context
Current price
$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Warehouse Thief is pure bulk — the kind of card you pull from a draft chaff pile rather than order. That price is stable by default, not by demand, so don't expect movement in either direction.
