In Commander, Wandering Eye occupies a narrow niche: group-hug shells and politics-heavy builds that turn open information into a social lever, plus Merfolk tribal decks that want the creature type before the ability. In Legacy and Vintage, the effect is too slow and too symmetrical to see real play — formats that fast have better ways to strip hand knowledge without giving it away. Pauper is the one context where Wandering Eye occasionally earns a slot, again in creature-based blue tempo lists that can use the Merfolk subtype.
