Vulshok Splitter enters with a +1/+1 counter and grants double strike to whatever creature you equip it to — that's a combat-damage doubler stapled to a body, all for four mana to cast and two to equip. The rate is clunky enough that it loses out to cheaper double-strike enablers in most lists, but in counter-synergy shells it earns its slot.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Vulshok Splitter fits narrow but real homes — Voltron commanders and +1/+1 counter builds that want every redundant double-strike source they can find. Pauper is where it's most competitive: the common card pool is thin on double-strike enablers, and the enter-the-battlefield counter matters more when every point of stat advantage is scarce. In Modern, Pioneer, Legacy, and Vintage, Vulshok Splitter is simply outclassed — faster formats punish four-mana do-nothing artifacts that require an additional activation to matter.

Price Context
Current price
$0.14 bulk tier
At $0.14, Vulshok Splitter is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not scarcity. There's no pressure to buy in or hold copies; supply is high and demand is narrow enough that this price is a ceiling as much as a floor.
