Voja, Jaws of the Conclave card art
Voja, Jaws of the Conclave hits the board and immediately snowballs — every Elf or Wolf entering triggers a counter and a card draw, turning any creature-dense turn into a combat-ready, hand-refilling blowout. Five mana for a 3/3 looks unimpressive on paper, but the first attack with even three countered-up creatures closes games.

Format Analysis

Commander is where Voja, Jaws of the Conclave belongs. Elf tribal is one of the most supported creature types in the format, and Wolf/Werewolf synergies give it a second lane — either axis generates the ETB triggers that make Voja spiral out of control. In 60-card formats like Modern and Pioneer, it's simply too slow at five mana with no immediate board impact; tribal payoffs that cost this much need to close the game the turn they land, and Voja doesn't. Legacy and Vintage have faster clocks and better five-drops at every angle. Standard is the one exception worth watching: if Elf or Wolf support exists in the current environment, Voja can be a legitimate top-end finisher in a creature-dense shell.
