Void Stalker card art
Void Stalker puts a threat on the bottom of its owner's library — not the graveyard, not exile, the bottom — making it one of the cleanest answers to indestructible and regenerating creatures in blue. The cost is real: two mana to activate, and you lose the body doing it.

In Commander, Void Stalker fills a niche blue genuinely struggles with — permanent removal that bypasses indestructible, hexproof workarounds are harder to come by, and shuffling a threat to the bottom of a 99-card library is functionally permanent. In Legacy and Vintage, the competition is brutal: Swords to Plowshares and Path to Exile do the same job faster and without sacrificing a creature, so Void Stalker doesn't see meaningful play there. Modern is the same story — efficient spot removal crowds it out entirely. Commander is its home, and even there it earns a slot only when your deck specifically wants a blue creature that can double as removal.

Price Context

Current price

$0.20 bulk tier

At $0.20, Void Stalker is deep bulk — you're paying for the effect, not the card. That price is stable; there's no demand driver that pushes it higher, but the unique effect keeps it from being worthless.
