Void Snare card art
Void Snare bounces any nonland permanent for one blue mana — the broadest possible target clause at the lowest possible cost. It doesn't answer anything permanently, but one mana to reset an enchantment, planeswalker, or commander is a real rate.

In Commander, Void Snare occupies the bottom rung of the bounce hierarchy — useful in budget builds or when you need a ninth piece of interaction, but it competes with Rapid Hybridization and Cyclonic Rift for slot space and loses most of those fights. Pauper is where it earns genuine respect: the common card pool makes one-mana answers scarce, and hitting any nonland permanent is a meaningful edge over more restrictive options. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's essentially unplayed — those formats have access to Brainstorm, Spell Pierce, and better tempo pieces that make a sorcery-speed bounce look embarrassing. Vintage has no interest in it for the same reason.

Price Context

Current price

$0.31 bulk tier

At $0.31, Void Snare is deep bulk — you'll find it in any commons box without looking hard. That price will stay flat indefinitely; there's no demand driver that would move a one-mana sorcery bounce.
