Vivien's Stampede puts a creature from your hand onto the battlefield for every creature already on your battlefield, then tramples them all over your opponents — at five mana, the floor is already explosive and the ceiling ends games. It's a staple in any creature-dense Commander deck that can reliably hit four or more bodies before casting it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Vivien's Stampede is a Commander card through and through — the format's higher creature counts, longer games, and three opponents to hit make the mass-cheat effect consistently backbreaking. In Legacy and Vintage, where it's technically legal, five mana sorceries that don't win immediately on the spot get no play. Oathbreaker is a real home: green creature shells running an aggressive planeswalker can deploy this as a signature spell or support piece to flip a wide board into a lethal attack.

Price Context
Current price
$0.36 bulk tier
At $0.36, Vivien's Stampede is deep bulk — the effect is powerful but the card sees enough print that supply keeps the price flat. Don't expect it to climb; pick it up cheaply and don't think twice about sleeving it.
