Visions lets you look at the top five cards of your library and rearrange them however you like — for one white mana at sorcery speed. It doesn't draw, doesn't filter, doesn't fix; it just peeks and reshuffles, which makes it a setup piece that requires serious draw density to justify the slot.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Visions occupies a narrow role as a top-deck manipulation tool — it works best when you have a guaranteed draw incoming, like with a Sylvan Library lock or a draw-every-turn engine already running. Legacy and Vintage can access it legally, but neither format has much use for a sorcery-speed five-card peek when Brainstorm and Ponder exist. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander: the card earns its slot only in dedicated top-deck synergy builds, and even there it's competing hard against cheaper, more impactful manipulation.

Price Context
Current price
$3.00 cheap tier
At $3.00, Visions sits in the cheap tier but prices high relative to its raw power level — scarcity from its original limited print run drives the cost more than competitive demand. It holds that price floor through collector interest rather than play demand, so don't expect it to climb.
