Veteran Dungeoneer card art
Veteran Dungeoneer enters with a venture trigger and pushes every creature you control through the dungeon track on attack — that's a repeatable progress engine stapled to a three-mana body. It's the backbone card for any dungeon-focused Commander build, and a bulk pickup that punches well above its price.

Commander is the only format where Veteran Dungeoneer is genuinely at home — dungeon synergies require critical mass to matter, and 100-card singleton gives you enough room to build around them. In Pauper, it's legal but dungeon support is too thin to form a real archetype. Modern, Pioneer, and Legacy have faster, more consistent things to do at three mana, and without a critical mass of dungeon payoffs in those formats it's a vanilla 3/2 with a marginal upside.

Price Context

Current price

$0.20 bulk tier

At $0.20, Veteran Dungeoneer is deep bulk — a trivial pickup for anyone building dungeon-focused Commander. Bulk dungeon cards tend to stay cheap because the archetype has a narrow audience, so don't expect movement, but the cost of sleeving four copies for any relevant build is essentially zero.
