Veteran Cathar pumps your whole team the moment a Human or Knight enters the battlefield — no tapping, no hoops, just a static anthem trigger stapled to a two-drop body. In the right tribal shell, that effect stacks fast enough to close games; outside of it, there's nothing here.

Veteran Cathar is a Commander card first and almost exclusively. Human and Knight tribal decks in EDH can stack multiple copies of this effect, and the enters-the-battlefield trigger compounds with token generators and blink effects in ways that matter at the table. In Modern and Pioneer, the two-mana slot is brutally competitive and Veteran Cathar doesn't pressure the board on its own, so it rarely makes the cut over lords that grant a permanent bonus. Legacy and Vintage have no meaningful Human or Knight synergy shells where this competes. Stick to Commander.
