Vedalken Dismisser

In Commander, Vedalken Dismisser is a fringe inclusion in dedicated flicker decks that want repeatable bounce effects — commanders like Brago, King Eternal or Roon of the Hidden Realm can loop the enter-the-battlefield trigger to lock opponents out of draw steps one creature at a time, which is the only context where the six-mana cost becomes acceptable. Outside that specific shell, a six-mana sorcery-speed tempo play that doesn't remove the threat is simply too slow for most tables. In Pauper, where the common restriction makes every slot count, Vedalken Dismisser sees essentially no play — bounce spells at common run cheaper and without the body tax. Legacy and Vintage have no interest at this rate.
